About the Artist

Amron holds a professional certificate in Archival and Preservation of Materials from Cariño Conservation of Books and Paper


She has trained in bookmaking at the San Francisco Center for the Book (Bookbinding Core Certificate), Pima Community College (Artists Books course), Maine College of Art & Design (picture book production, imaginative geography), and The Drawing Studio (several bookmaking workshops). 


In addition, she took a Book Cover Design class by the incomparable Chip Kidd. She has spent years reading bookmaking books and experimenting with various bookbinding, bookmaking, and book repair techniques.


Amron comes from a long line of independent, creative, fierce women. She painted these watercolor portraits of them.
